Back from the Writer’s Digest Conference in New York and thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the conference. Stayed with my good friend artist Diana Kurz in her Soho Loft that she shares with her two cats—Spaghetti and Nijinsky—and her dog, Dixie.
The conference had lots to offer with literally dozens of session spread over four days. Highlights included a keynote address by Kwame Alexander, “Saying Yes to the Writerly Life,”
An Evening with David Baldacci, and the closing keynote by Emily St. John Mandel. In between were great educational sessions plus opportunities to meet and mingle with agents, editors and writers.
AND got to the MOMA, the Metropolitan, took in an opera at a small theatre where the soprano was practically in my lap and lunches and dinners that were amazing.

But glad to be back home in the midst of the Florida wilds surrounded by green trees and cool springs and sandhill cranes. City living is definitely NOT my thing!
